The Hosta Sun Power, Hosta 'Sun Power', is one of the best gold hosta's there is. The large leaves are about 12 inches long by 7 inches wide and are vase shaped. Sun Power requires about 3/4 sun which causes the leaves to explode in true gold color....hence the name Sun Power. The lavender flowers of this hosta appear in early summer on 3 foot stems, however hosta's are not known for their flowers. Sun Power requires sun 3/4 of the day to bring out the best color and should be planted in any moist, well-drained spot. This low care perennial is ideal for shady spots, tubs and patio pots, and is one of the most popular landscape plants. A great choice for any beginner gardener.
